Matthew D. Shilling Managing Director
Mr. Shilling brings over thirteen years of corporate advisory experience to Signal Hill. Since joining the Firm, Mr. Shilling has executed a variety of M&A and capital raising transactions, most notably:
- Sale of Fusepoint Managed Services to Savvis
- Sale of Visi Incorporated to TDS Telecom
- $170 million sale of Penn Foster to The Princeton Review (2009 Buyouts Small Market Deal of the Year)
- Sale of certain Cincinnati Bell wireless assets to Leap Wireless, Metro PCS and Cavalier Wireless
- Sale of Hosting.com to HostMySite/Wachovia Capital
- Sale of Stargate Holdings to Latisys/Managed Data Holdings
- Sale of GramTel to Cincinnati Bell
- Sale of Certiport to Spire Capital
- Sale of VIU Media to Lamar Advertising
Mr. Shilling comes to Signal Hill after serving in DB Alex. Brown's telecommunications and equity capital markets investment banking practices. While at DB Alex. Brown, Mr. Shilling completed a variety of advisory, M&A, and equity transactions. Prior to joining DB Alex. Brown, he was with Bear, Stearns & Co. and Johnson Associates, a management consulting firm, where he advised a variety of public and private companies.
Mr. Shilling received an A.B. degree in economics from Princeton University and an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School.
