J. Adam Hitt Managing Director
Mr. Hitt has over twenty-five years of investment banking experience. Prior to joining Signal Hill, he served as the Head of Business and Information Services and was a senior M&A banker at Deutsche Bank and its legacy firms.
During his career, Mr. Hitt has been involved in a number of high profile M&A transactions on behalf of multinational companies, financial sponsors and prominent entrepreneurs. Having led one of the oldest and most successful business services practices on Wall Street, Mr. Hitt’s notable business and information services transactions include:
- $2.3 billion cross-border acquisition of Corporate Express by Buhrmann NV
- Sale of Snyder Communications to Havas Advertising for $2.4 billion
- Taylor Nelson Sofres' acquisition of NFO Worldgroup for $500 million
- VNU's (aka Nielsen) $11 billion "take private" by a consortium of private equity firms
- West Corporation's $4.5 billion "take private" by TH Lee
- Williams Scotsman’s $2.2 billion "take private" by TDR
Prior to joining Alex. Brown in 1994, Adam was director of cross-border M&A for Morgan Stanley in London. Of his 10 years with Morgan Stanley, Adam spent 8 years in Europe.
Mr. Hitt graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he also was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.
